1999–2000 Serie A

Serie A is a professional league competition for football clubs located at the top of the Italian football league system and has been operating for over eighty years since the 1929–30 season.
Lazio won the title on the final day of the season under controversial circumstances. Juventus, the only other team left in contention on the day lost their match against Perugia on an almost flooded pitch. Juventus went on to lose the game 1–0 with a goal from Alessandro Calori while Lazio comfortably beat Reggina 3–0 at home at the Stadio Olimpico.
